Blueberries for dogs… What’s the deal?

Can my dog eat blueberries? Are blueberries safe for dogs? This is a question that we see asked A LOT online.
Here at v-dog one of our top selling treats is blueberry based, and VERY healthy for your pup
!

So what is it about blueberries? What makes them such a powerful super food for pups?

Blueberries are a wonderful source of antioxidants, fiber and vitamins C and K. Because of the high vitamin C content, they help to support healthy skin and a healthy heart. Just a handful of blueberries gives your pup a major vitamin C boost!

Fiber-rich foods like blueberries help regulate digestion and support a healthy gut microbiome, important for pups of all shapes and sizes. These tiny blue treats are high in nutrients but not high in calories. They're a great snack option for pups that need help with weight management. Blueberries contain minerals that help maintain strong bones, as well as vitamin K, which improves calcium absorption. Last but not least- the antioxidants in blueberries help protect cells against free radicals and inflammation, which can help prevent cancer.

With all that said, blueberries are a pretty magical healthy treat for your pup with many benefits!
